Sogukcesme Street

Located in Sultanahmet between Hagia Sophia, Topkapı Palace, and the gate of Gülhane Park, Soğukçeşme Sokağı is a car-free cobblestone street lined with historic houses. Built throughout the 19th and 20th Centuries, these traditional two or three storey wooden houses are typical of the Ottoman era. It is named after the fountain at the Gülhane Park end of the street and offers an insight into a typical Ottoman streetscape.
